In order to develop a strong athlete and strong teams for the future, young players must develop their strengths and learn crucial skills. There is no better time to learn these than by getting involved in the 8 and under (8U) division of the Rawlings Youth Girls Fastpitch Softball League.
Parents and coaches play a critical role in the development of a young softball player, but some skills can only be mastered on the field. Skills will progress as a player receives instruction and experience at practices and games. The 8U division will be coach pitch and 8U pitcher. Many of the older division teams have been together since their 8U days and players have developed rich skills and team spirit.
